Playa de torimbia
Located near Llanes, this is a spectacular and largely unspoiled beach with a natural, undeveloped setting.
In summer, when there is some north swell, it usually offers mellow conditions with waves that are ideal for surf lessons and beginners.
In winter, with a solid north or northwest swell, it can produce larger, more powerful waves suitable for advanced surfers. However, the currents, wind, and constantly changing peaks require experience and a good understanding of the ocean.

During the summer, it is usually well sheltered with very little wave activity, so it is not a regular surf spot.
When north or northwest swells arrive, especially during autumn and winter, it can produce high-quality waves in a quiet, uncrowded setting.
Due to the influence of the tides and the constantly changing peaks, it is best suited to advanced surfers who are familiar with the local conditions.
Playa de poo
A very sheltered beach that only works under specific ocean conditions.
For much of the year, it remains flat or has very little wave activity. Only strong north or northwest swells are capable of producing surf, and even then the conditions are often inconsistent and unpredictable.
When it does break, the waves are usually fast, variable, and highly tide-dependent. As a result, it is not a reliable or regularly surfed spot, but it can be an interesting option for experienced surfers looking for something different.
Playa de Toranda
Located between Niembro and Barro, this is a sheltered beach with a peaceful atmosphere, popular with families and beachgoers.
During the summer, small north swells can produce gentle, easy waves that are suitable for beginners on the right days.
In winter, only consistent north or northwest swells generate larger waves. However, due to the beach’s sheltered orientation, it breaks less frequently than other surf spots in the area.

Playa de pendueles

Playa de vidiago

Playa de antilles

In winter, with north or northwest swells, it can receive larger waves. However, the wave shape is often inconsistent and depends heavily on the tide and wind, making it one of the less consistent surf spots in the Llanes area.
Playa del toro
Located just a short distance from the centre of Llanes, this beach is renowned for its spectacular karst rock formations and its protected natural setting.
It is not a regular surf spot, as the many exposed rocks, changing water depths, and the shape of the bay limit both the quality and safety of the waves.
Only under very specific conditions does it produce a surfable wave, and even then, most surfers prefer to head to nearby beaches with better sandbanks and more consistent surf.
Playa del sablón
An urban beach located in the heart of Llanes’ historic centre, sheltered by the surrounding cliffs and the San Pedro promenade.
Due to its protected orientation and the small size of the bay, it rarely offers suitable conditions for surfing.
Only during exceptional north swells can it produce a few rideable waves, although it is not considered a regular surf spot.
Playa de portiellu
A small sandy cove located between Poo and Celorio, surrounded by an entirely natural setting.
Due to its small size and sheltered orientation, it is usually protected from the swell and rarely offers suitable conditions for surfing.
Only during large swells can it produce an occasional rideable wave, although it is not considered a beach for regular surfing.
